Okay here we go!!
With my daughter starting kindergarten *gasp* this week (seriously, when did that happen??) there seems to be a lot of prepare. Because her school is two full days a week (and every other friday) instead of half days every day, I will be packing her a lunch. I always used paper bags growing up but really have a bit of an aversion to them when I consider it - I don't want them thrown out - and they aren't always the easiest to keep and reuse (I can't help but think it will be more trouble than it's worth). Plus I don't want to go through and obscene amount of plastic baggies either - so I've been on the hunt for something reusable and of course, stylish. I happened upon Kids Konserve through another site and got pretty excited right away (I can't help it - I love new products and finding new companies). It pretty much fits into exactly what I was looking for.
The Kids Konserve waste-free lunch kit and other reusable products were the natural outgrowth of what Chance and Lynn saw as a big need that required immediate attention. With the premise that any business they undertook had to help the environment in some way, it didn’t take much imagination to see how they, as parents of young children, were contributing to garbage landfills, pollutants and sending the wrong message to their own children. They didn't understand how they could set an example of conservation for their children and empower them to be the examples of change for the future?
So - they made a change - and turned it into a business. I love that! They saw a need and went for it...and what has resulted are some pretty fabulous products! They've thought of EVERYTHING - not just a lunch bag, but water bottles, snack containers, and napkins!!! Oh and they even carry natural dish soap and surface cleaner! (Oh and an ice pack with *sweat cover* - seriously - EVERYTHING!) Check out all of their products HERE. You can buy the items individually or in kits - including a sort of *picnic ready* kit which I LOVE! They even thought to sell additional round food container lids - they must also understand that things go missing. lol
Chance was generous enough to send me a Green Food Kozy to review...I have to be honest, I haven't actually used it yet as I've been waiting for school to start (I didn't want to lose it before then lol). But it looks pretty great and has some really awesome features. Not only can you use them to wrap sandwiches, bagels and cream cheese, tortilla roll-ups, meat and cheese slices, apple slices or whatever else you want to wrap up and take along, they are also perfect for use at home! Wrap up blocks of cheese, deli meats, cut cucumber, bell peppers or whatever else you used to put in plastic wrap or foil. Oh but it doesn't stop there - They are also recycled, FDA approved, non-toxic, non-leaching, recyclable PE plastic. This product does not contain Bisphenol-A (BPA) and is Phthalate free. 13" round. Seriously - can it get any better than that?? They are truly the perfect alternative to plastic baggies, plastic wrap, and foil.
AND they just recently added a new orange food kozy to their product list.
Kids Konserve is doing something a bit different for all of you - a fabulous coupon code for 25% off their Food Kozy (come in a set of 5) - did you notice they are already on sale?? Well, this coupon code STILL WORKS!!! So instead of $25 for the set of 5, and instead of $18.75 - you only pay $14.06! - that's under $3 each! Just use coupon code KOZY25 at checkout to receive the additional discount!
HAPPY SHOPPING! And hey - if you get anything *stop in* and let us know what you've got and how you like it! I'm sure to be expanding our collection as well :)

In addition to See Kai Run receiving their fabulous award (congrats again!), I just wanted to give another shout out to Simply Pure Soy Candles. Seriously - I am IN LOVE with their products. Absolutely cannot get enough. I have their lip butter (LOVE IT), body scrub (STRAWBERRY IS DIVINE), lotion (Love Spell is an EXACT match!!), tarts (sooo awesome), and have used a few of their soaps (LOVE 'EM!). But I would have to say that my absolutely favorite - cannot ever live without - item is the moisture stick. I purchased one for myself and then purchased another two - using my original one as a bum stick for my son (heals any diaper rash in a flash) and a new one for my face (couldn't put it on his bum and then my face - *ewww*) and one for backup :D A good friend of mine wanted to try it so she bought the backup off me - and now wants to order one for her mom! Because it helped so much with my son's eczema another friend wants to get one for her daughter and husband. I'm also planning on getting one for my brother in law who is having a war with his eczema - I'll keep you updated on these *experiments*. My cousin has also been using hers but you know - I've been negligent in finding out how much she loves it (stay tuned. lol).
Here's the thing - they are awesome. And for all natural and how long they last - the price is unbeatable. I will never be without one (or three). I am seriously that impressed. The scent I use right now on my face is *Very Vanilla*. My cousin uses *Coconut Lime* and my friend (using my backup) has *Cucumber Melon*. All three of these scents are soooo yummy. I can't wait to try some others.
Sorry there is no giveaway with this post (but there are so many more on their way!) I just wanted to come on and reiterate to you all how great these products are! (and if you like candles - there is a buy 2 get 1 free promotion on right now...so check out their site!!!)
Hope you are all having a great summer!
*for curiosity sake here are the scents I've tried/smelled:
Moisure Stick: Fresh Cucumber (great for non scented preferences), Very Vanilla (amazing), Coconut Lime (soo fresh!), and Cucumber Melon (so yummy)
Lip Butter: Strawberry Patch (delicious), Vanilla Mint (I love the kick of mint - will be so nice in the winter)
Body Scrub: Strawberry (smells like the real thing - amazing!)
Soaps: Sweet Strawberry Slice (LOVE it), Lemon Burst (so fresh - perfect for in the kitchen...gave as a gift so only smelled through plastic), and two others I don't see listed anymore but LOVED!
Lotion: Love Spell (seriously an EXACT match...just awesome)
Tarts: Sex on the Beach (nice and subtle), Aloha Pineapple (definitely my fave! - a burst of holiday right in my home!), Birthday Cake (smells just like it - delish), Banana Nut Bread (fresh from the oven - can't wait to melt this one on a cool day!), and Sweet Baby (EXACTLY like baby powder - would love this in a nursery or child's bathroom)
Candles - Birthday Candle (again - just like the real thing - delish), Cool Citrus Basil (so fresh and clean...I want laundry detergent that smells like this!)
HOPE THAT HELPS!!!

FINALLY something for the little men in our lives :D
I absolutely adore the surfer/skater look on little boys. Seeing my nephews dressed always made me excited to have a boy - my sister in law always has the cutest clothes for them. For obvious reasons I was thrilled when my first was a girl (I love all things girly, it can't be denied) but when Jonah came along I couldn't wait to start dressing him too. It is so much fun - I no longer believe girls are more expensive!
When I first visited this website it was the great tunes that caught my interest (I'm currently *groovin'* to them as I write this) - I love that little touch. Almost gives you the sense that you are actually on holidays (all I need is a palm tree in my kitchen and I'm set) and you can totally picture your little one in their items (that's the idea I bet)! When I clicked to see their items I was hooked - I HAD to get my hands on their product. Alli at Haiden Surf was more than generous in sending a pair of the Firecracker Boardies with a matching Red Rash Guard T for Jonah. It arrived the day we left for holidays to Whitefish (great timing) - and I couldn't have been happier. The colours worked perfectly for the 4th of July (yes I had red, white, and blue swim gear planned out for both our kids to wear) and I was immediately impressed with the quality. They are so soft and comfortable and the colours are so vibrant. Jonah looked soooo cute and I love the pattern. I also love that the rash guard not only works to protect against the sun (Spf 50+) but can also give that little extra coverage to keep him warm in a cooler pool. And - if you have more than one boy, not only can you get them matching boardies (how cute would that be!) - but some of them come in the reversal pattern which I just think is brilliant and plain adorable! I just know these will hold up great and can't wait to get him more of their styles. I may very well be a Haiden Surf addict! The great thing is, I'm pretty confident my husband will too *hip hip hooray*.
I'm guessing you'd like to get your hands on something too...There seem to be so few items out there for boys (comparatively at least) that it's really quite fun to offer a giveaway JUST for them (although if all you have is girls, don't let that stop you - there are a couple of pretty adorable photos on their website of *Haiden Surf Girls* - so it really could be for anyone)!
Haiden Surf is offering one lucky winner a Rash Guard T in their choice of Red, Turquoise, or Black!

On a mission to educate and entertain, Scott and Mark conceived this here web-based business to offer truly unique, personalized gifts for children at affordable prices. Their entertaining selection of personalized items are designed to delight your children and friends (and trust me, they will!).
I love it all. I absolutely adore personalized items. I remember seeing a teddy bear at a mall once that had my name on the dress - my name was NEVER one of the ones pre-made, and even if it was it was never *my* spelling. It was a momentous occassion - I HAD to have that bear. So I got it, justifying myself by saying it was a christmas present (what's wrong with buying yourself a christmas present??). I still have it in fact - I just can't part with it. Considering I was about 18 when I bought the bear and knowing how excited I was to see my name, I think I have a pretty good understanding of how awesome it is for kids to see the same. I knew we had to review this company!
The most difficult part about this site was trying to decide what we wanted to review. Megan and I were each able to choose one item from their product list to review (incredibly generous!). Brooklyn was really excited about the Unicorn book and Hadley chose the Pigeons puzzle. How fun is that - both were so excited when they arrived! Brooklyn asks for her book regularly and often it turns into 4 or 5 times in a row. She loves seeing her name incorporated into the story and is always reading it to her friends when they come over. We even got to put a little *dedication* page in at the front. I wanted this book to be even more special to her, so it was a gift from her little brother, Jonah. Hadley has a blast putting her puzzle together and seeing her name spelled out at the bottom (in birds no less). It's so fun and a great way to encourage early literacy!
And now - we've recently been notified that Frecklebox has launched their *back to school* line. I'm in trouble.....with Brooklyn starting kindergarten, and really wanting to avoid the whole *paper bag* scenario (for waste reasons) I HAVE to have one of these personalized lunchboxes, among a few other items that are just calling my name (like the personalized placemats for example). I'm certain I'll be putting in an order shortly - I just can't get enough of their products. Awesome quality, fabulous prices, and personalized for each child! I love it! It's so easy to personalize the items online and it's even set up to give you a preview of what it will look like with your child's name on it (and you can see each page of the books in the preview!). It sure makes ordering online a little less daunting! In addition, it's soo difficult to find accessories for boys - what a great way to make sure the little men in our lives aren't left out.
So I'm guessing you'd like to see for yourself! Scott and Mark are offering one lucky winner their choice of personalized item (aren't they fabulous!!!). You pick whatever you want - how awesome is that!!!!
All you need to do to enter this giveaway is let us know which of the three items pictured below you would choose (personalized placemats, personalized lunch box, or personalized stickers). Please leave your email address too, unless you have your email address public on your profile. For additional entries (please make each a separate comment):

*Place an order with Frecklebox and tell us what you're getting - 5 extra entries
