BATH LUVE - With Giveaway

I remember when my daughter was born (5 years ago yesterday *eek*) - every time I would change her diaper in the middle of the night (thanks to her nightly blowout) she would cry because she was so cold. If I laid a receiving blanket on her while I changed her diaper - she wouldn't make a peep. The bath tub was no different. She always seemed to be cold just laying there with her tummy exposed. Put a warm wash cloth on top and VOILA! she was as happy as can be. As long as she was warm she LOVED her bath. If only - if only I had known about THIS company then (or at the very least, with my son - now 2). It was around - started 10 years ago by Amy Seckinger for this exact reason; her son, Austin was always cold and unhappy in the bath. I don't know why I was so out of the loop - but I am determined not only to use one with our next children (not an announcement) but to pass along the word to everyone I know (this seems a pretty good place to start).

Here's why they are so great:
Bath Luve lays on the shoulders and goes around the neck covering a baby's chest, stomach, and private area while allowing the arms and legs to move around unobstructed. And perhaps the most fun part - they come in 3 different ADORABLE designs - the frog (my fave), the duck, and the fish. And now - you can even get these adorable Bath Luve Buddies to match. They have also recently added some washcloths and a towel to their collection.

And the VERY best part - JUST $6.99 each (bath luve)!!! I'm already planning to have at least one of each style. Thanks to this fabulous (and generous) company, I already have the Frog Bath Luve (did I mention it is my favorite one?). I was able to pass it along to my sister in law for review to use on her most recent addition (ah sweet baby Zachary) - and she LOVES it (and I love that because it's my sister in law using it - I'll get it back! lol). Not only did she agree that it was completely adorable, but she was THRILLED with how well it kept Zach warm during his bath. Still able to play     and splash around, without the shivering and crying from being so cold. Perfect!

HIP-T - With Giveaway!

Do you like the layered look, but don't like all the bulkiness? Do you hate looking like a plumber (no offense - we love plumbers) when you bend over to tie your shoe? I sure do! That's why I was very excited to try out my black hip-T and when it arrived I slipped it right on! It fit great and was very comfy. I normally wear a tank top under my shirts, so it was kind of refreshing to not have all the bulkiness up top, especially in the HOT summer! The hip-T helps to cover up that skin that sometimes makes an appearance between the shirt and pants and helps keep that flabbiness in place!  Gotta LOVE that! They come in a variety of styles and colours that will go with any top. 

Their website is super cute and has a lot of pictures of how the hip-T can help add style and comfort to your wardrobe.

Friends Christine and Kelley were frustrated with the bulkiness and lack of coverage from wearing a tee or tank to create the layered look. They took an old white t-shirt and cut off the end and wore that instead. It worked wonderfully and hip-T was born!

LASHFOOD - With Giveaway!

I have been DYING for this review and giveaway and am so excited the time is finally here! Anyone who knows me understands that my eyelashes are my favorite feature - it's not uncommon for me to have nightmares of losing them or having someone cut them off (I know, I know). The thought is too much for me - I've heard of people even cutting their own when they were kids and it's horrifying. I LOVE my eyelashes....in fact (okay here's where I start sounding a bit shallow) I really wanted to marry someone who had nice ones too (and I did - don't worry I'm crazy about him too)...I wanted our kids to have nice long and dark eyelashes. Rest easy - they both do! *deep breath* ;)

So when I read about this product - An eyelash conditioning treatment made with all natural ingredients and herb extracts, that promises to make your lashes *DRAMATICALLY longer, thicker, and stronger* I WAS HOOKED! And THRILLED when Jacqueline from Lashfood responded so quickly to offer a tube for review. *insert shrills of delight* She put me in touch with Ashley, their summer intern (who was more than fabulous) and a tube was sent. Let's talk about the shipping for a minute....I don't know how often this happens but the tube was sent early one morning and at my doorstep at 2pm THAT afternoon! This could be why I write a thank you note to the postal workers on every package I send out. Amazing!

So I set out to try this product. I wasn't quite so prepared for the results though. Because I have fairly dark and long lashes to begin with I was really interested to see what effect it would have. Applied like eyeliner on a clean face twice a day (I do it after my shower....and actually only did it once a day because *gasp* I don't usually wash my face at night) and essentially *left to dry*. Apply your makeup like normal - and voila....as the days go by - you'll be squealing with delight! (fyi: Lashfood can also be used on eyebrows!)

I noticed a difference within a week - they just seemed longer and stronger and I loved them that much more. And yes - I took before and after photos (I wanted proof)!!! These photos were taken 3 weeks apart. All variables are the same - same mascara (lashblast if you want to know), same cleanser (soap. lol), and no eyelash curler (I don't even own one). If I have a little more colour in the second photo it's because I had just come back from a week of camping. *click on photo for full effect!*
Here's the awesome part too!! Each tube lasts FIVE months - that's FIVE times as long as other similar (but I'm confident not nearly as good) products out there (that even cost the same). Lashfood is THE way to go! But the really awesome part is
