I don't remember learning to tie my shoes. Rest assured, I do in fact know how to (though now that I think about it, I don't have many lace up shoes. lol) but it's not something I remember learning. Which could indicate it was an uneventful process or perhaps it was traumatic enough I've blocked it out. I doubt it - though I have always been the type to keep trying until I get it right. My daughter is the same and has always been. So I've been a little curious to know how experiences such as learning to tie her shoes, would go. Not only on her end - but would I do a good enough job that would help her grasp and accomplish it quickly? Well this fabulous product has saved the day - and made a potentially stressful situation completely fun, AND something we could do together - which I love. I didn't even bother trying to teach her until we had these - so the whole experience could be enjoyable.
It's simple. All you do is loop the shoelace through the *beads* (aka - Tie BuddiesTM) and the loops are there for good. No fiddling with laces to try and keep those *rabbit ears* in place and no concerns about remembering steps. With Tie BuddiesTM, there are just a few steps but it's nearly the same thing done twice. Check how it works HERE. Wendy, the mastermind behind this awesome product, was inspired by her own desire to make it easier to teach her youngest daughter how to tie her shoes. So after many prototypes and ideas, Wendy finally perfected the product and in April 2007 she was ready to market them. Am I ever glad she did! Wendy was kind enough to send us the Fairy and Magic wand set which is perfect! My daughter had a blast and it was such a fun thing to do together. No frustration, no tears, and totally cute laces after. Okay - the truth is this....she doesn't even own any shoes with laces so we ended up having to try this out on her daddy's dress shoes. HA! And yes, I've instructed him to wear them to work tomorrow, fairy Tie BuddiesTM and all :) He will, he's such a great sport (not to mention a fabulous dad!). I will of course be going out this week to get her some of her own lace up shoes that she can happily sport her adorable Tie BuddiesTM on. I won't be surprised if these make it on her *show and tell* list in the near future. Would you like to try these out for yourself and see just how easy and fun shoelace tying can be?! Well lucky for you, Wendy has also generously offered one winner their choice of Tie Buddies™.
